Late in the day on October 11th Guild Wars 2 got yet another update. This one was designed to fix a few new issues that players have been encountering. One of the primary bugs this update was targeting was the issue with players making Asura race characters and the final production (the in-game character) had a head size that didn’t match up with what the player specified during the character creation process. Apparently the slider was malfunctioning and the problem popped up not long ago.
Another problem that this patch was made for is the issue with players getting stuck on GW2 loading screens while playing the game. This mainly happened when players were in PvP matches but randomly occurred elsewhere, too.
Here are the official patch notes for the Oct. 11th update:
- Fixed a recently introduced issue that could cause some players to getting stuck in loading screens primarily during PVP matches
- Fixed a recently introduced issue that could cause some players to not see other characters models
- Restored Asuran head sizes to the size selected during character creation
- Fixed a bug with the Asuran character creation head size slider
So, if you’ve had any complaints regarding the aforementioned bugs (i.e. Asura head sizes or stuck load screens) they SHOULD be solved issues now. If not, don’t forget to make note of it on the official Guild Wars 2 bug report section of the forums so that developers will know that there are still complications. This, of course, applies to any other bugs you may find while playing the game.
